Just some thoughts.
The media company that owns the network is PLS Media. P=Platinum, L=Liberty, S=Sinclair.
Platinum investments doesn't really care whether "Platinum" is used or not, as they are an investment firm, who will likely one day divest their ownership anyway. "Platinum" has a great premium sound to it but they don't care.
Liberty loves the idea of using their name as part of the network name. They say its because its patriotic which is a good sell these days, but they probably are more interested in people making the connection with their company.
We are welcome to call it whatever we want. Probably don't want to piegon hole the name too much, because our focus might change. This isnt a cable network, we dont want to change the name. FOX is a great name, more exciting then ABC, and it also ties into the network ownership. We could go with something bland like PLS, or can come up with something more exciting.
This is your opportunity to place your mark on the United States television network scene!

Liberty Television Network
PLS Media has announced officially today that the newest United States television network will be branded with the "Liberty" name.
A full rebranding of the website and images will happen in the coming months. For now though the network is turning its attention toward content and affiliate relations.
The Liberty brand is an attempt to capitalize on the patriotic feelings of America as well as reminding people of a day when families would gather together to watch important television broadcasts.
