Well with the announcement today of Smackdown coming to Liberty that fills 2 hours that probably came as a big surprise to many as negotiations were kept close to the vest.
With Smackdown taking up Friday night, we are leaning towards moving the movie to Saturday night. Sunday night is our only 3 hour night and will start with a one hour news program followed by Guitar Heroes (our only reality TV offering) and then more of a family offering; maybe E.K., or Shutterbugs & Baggers? Or maybe stay with the youth push and go with Morbier Hall?
That would leave basically the Monday - thursday evenings to program 8 hours of original shows. We currently have orders for (assuming for a minute that Morbier Hall is put on Sundays) -Croatoan -E.K. -Fortune's Son -Mindfall -Rebel Blades
and then sit-coms -Shutterbugs -Baggers -Twang! -Just Mike
That's already 7 out of 8 hours.
The biggest problem with putting Smackdown & a movie in the Fri/Sat deadzone is that Rebel Blades was committed to a Saturday night slot. It might be too weak to put Mon-Thu.
We have begun talks with affilaites to see if there is interest in picking up Rebel Blades after Smackdown! as an additional hour of prime time. That would move us to 16 hours.
We'll keep you posted.
